We mourn the death of our partner, Sue Gardner. Sue died on May 22, 2026. She practiced Trusts and Estates law at the Firm for more than 45 years. She retired at the age of 87.
It would not be an overstatement to say that she was one of the trailblazers of her generation among professional and businesswomen in Buffalo who fought to eradicate the sexism they experienced. A co-founder of both the Women’s Group and the Western New York Women’s Foundation, Mrs. Gardner left a legacy of promoting and strengthening the standing and prospects of professional women.
